BIRD WALK ON MOUNT COOT-THA, CHAPEL HILL

Time: Thursday 14 November 2019, 07:00 - 09:00
Place: Fleming Rd, Chapel Hill (parking space opp. entry to Greenford St)
Contact: office[@]cwcn.org.au or ring Lyn on 0427599890
BYO binoculars, wear protective closing and closed walking shoes.

Walk the Chapel Hill reach of Mount Coot-tha and observe our feathered friends in bushland and at a core section of the wildlife movement corridor along Cubberla Creek towards the Brisbane River and towards the D'Aguilar Range.

We have chosen a weekday as the Mt Coot-tha is much loved and frequented by many walkers especially on weekends. Experience tells us that especially small birds can't be heard or seen. The happy chatter of the many walkers outperforms any bird calls, and research has figured out that dogs on leash have birds retreat into the bush so that neither normal quantity nor diversity of species can be found near the much frequented walking tracks on a Saturday morning.
